The kiss both surprises and soothes her, and her eyes fall closed, her hand hovering before gently laying at his shoulder. She gently relaxes into the kiss, something of relief in the way she sinks closer to him. She would never mean to think so little of him, it's more complicated than that, and she would explain it if she ever needed to.
