River's gaze follows after him, hoping that she's keeping the uncertainty from her eyes. She is a very good actress, but those closer to her can read the emotions she wears on her sleeve. Going to sit on the couch again, she hesitates only briefly at his question, to quickly formulate a response that would hopefully not draw attention.

"I had one earlier, I'm good for now," she says, with practised ease. She's a good liar. Too good sometimes.
